We are looking for a Back-End Java Engineer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be development of all server-side logic, building data warehouses, and managing business intelligence applications, which are used by some of marquee clients in healthcare. You will also be responsible to ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. A basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and support new user-facing features
• Build data engineering pipelines to process disparate data sets.
• Build data warehouses.
• Create reusable code, libraries, and plug-ins for future use
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Configure usability of all front side applications
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

What you’ll need: 

• Degree BS./M.S in Computer Science or related field
• Java expertise (4+ years experience)
• Experience managing a large codebase.
• Postgres or SQL expertise
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (i.e. git)
• A hands-on, engaged approach to solving problems    
• Excellent communication skills and experience in collaborative environments
• The desire to be continually learning about emerging technologies/industry trends
• Knowledge of software architecture
• Project management
• Working knowledge of front-end technologies like React,Angular, Javascript
