Carta Healthcare is looking for a Director of People and Culture who will lead our People team during an exciting period of growth for the company. We are expecting to grow Carta’s (US-based and international) team from 40 to 100 people within a year.
The Director of People and Culture will lead on culture practices, and provide expertise and support in the areas of Performance Management, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Diversity & Inclusion, Policy and Procedure Development, and HR Compliance. In this role, you will build processes to achieve the following objectives:
Acquire talented team members who resonate with our mission
Efficiently integrate new team members
Ensure that we retain talent by being an excellent place to work
Ensure that Carta has access to the best candidates while developing and implementing strategies to increase Diversity & Inclusion within the organization.
Partner with internal team to implement strategies for employee engagement and retention.
Manage the Performance Appraisal process and assist with goal development (Including implement new, and enhancing existing staff recognition and reward programs). Collaborate on suggestions for individual training that will enhance growth and development.
Participate in coaching, counseling, and advising management and staff to ensure the resolution of employment related matters.
Prepare, analyze, report, and utilize HR metrics/KPIs in process improvement and provide reports that support decision making across all departments.
Create and/or update policies, procedures, and guidelines as needed.
Participate in the exit interview process.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation. Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements, advise management on needed actions to remain compliant.
Keep abreast of industry knowledge and trends by participating in conferences and educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Establish teams/offices in key locations. Right now our team members are located in 🇮🇳, 🇧🇷,🇺🇸, 🇵🇰, 🇵🇸; we are expanding to additional countries within the next few months.
Take good care of your direct reports, implement processes to measure their happiness, expand that to the rest of the company.

Experience building international teams rapidly

Four or more years of experience leading culture and people initiatives
